"For the long term investor, the current tech correction is one of the greatest buying opportunities you are going to get. This is a perfect entry point!"

"Historically, corrections in the technology sector were buying opportunities. It's no different this time around. Long term investors that are patient will be well rewarded."

I agree. For several years it has been fashionable for the media to hype the next Microsoft-killer (ex. Linux). Now the same thing is happening to Cisco. Juniper et al are very strong companies, Cisco is so entrenched that none of them will dethrone the king, nor will any of them even come close. The question is how much market share they can grab.

At under $15 per share, Netscout (NTCT-Q) is undervalued. A leader in network performance management...the company recently posted a second year of record earnings (.70/share) and is trading at a P/E ration of 20...way lower than most tech companies in its class.

The company is quite entrenched and has the buying power to continue buying up the smaller companies. It just seems like that statement is a big leap.
I would say the problem for Cisco is going to be maintaining and increasing its market share as the market expands.

"And more than ever, Cisco is beset from all sides by young companies potentially capable of sweeping past it. Juniper Networks(JNPR), Sycamore Networks(SCMR), Redback Networks(RBAK)-all are starting to nip at pieces of Cisco's franchise.

WOW, Sycamore is two-thirds off its high, but I still think its too high to get in.
Great analogy at the beginning of the article too.
