If anyone is interested, we have redesigned the Tech Stock Investor website, and it is now up and working.

Check out the "cool" Flash demo presentation. Be sure to turn up the sound on your computer during the presentation - it's got a "cool" sound.

Check it out at: http://www.techstockinvestor.com

Happy holidays to everyone!

Holy Smokes! The NASDAQ up 127 to 3,911. Largest point gain ever on the NASDAQ. Now up 78% so far this year. I thought it needed a rest 400 points ago. I guess the one thing the market always teaches you is humility. Not complaining, just amazed!

I wouldn't say its the best article... but it was interesting to see a lot of the companies I like on there. The article was a bit superficial in calling askjeeves just a plain english search engine. Its a lot more than that. They are used in the online help departments for a lot of big companies.

About GoTo.com
"...runs a different kind of search engine that allows advertisers to bid on ad placement based on a user's search results. This exactly-what-I'm-looking-for approach has generated some excitement"
I think its great for the company... as their traffic increases and competition for placement on every word they make exponentially more money. They do need to make sure they have a way of keeping competitors from draining each others accounts by repeatedly clikcing on the links. I also don't see why users would go to the site, but they seem to be going there. What's the incentive in seeing the advertisers who paid the most for me? It doesn't really matter in this case because they now have agreements with Earthlink and Mindspring (who are merging next year) to be the default search engine... they'll get the eyeballs this way.

We received the following e-mail, and would like to post it here:

"I am a new subscriber. All your 50 stocks are good stocks, but they have already gone up. Any comments if they should be picked up at current prices?"

And here is our reply:

"I remember showing some people our Top 10 Stocks list 1.5 years ago when our website first came out, and their reaction was the same. They said: "Yea, those are great gains, but they can't possibly go any higher after the run they've had. We're looking for some other stocks that haven't made their run yet." Since then, Amazon went from 332% gain, to 3,989% gain. AOL went from 463% gain, to 3,583% gain. Yahoo went from 595% gain, to 1,769% gain. We've found that a lot of the stocks that have made a great run, keep running! A lot of the successful companies keep being successful! That's not to say these stocks go straight up. Tech stocks are very volatile especially short term. We were down 30 percent with Yahoo. We are not market timers, but if we had to guess, now might be a good time to take some short term profits because of the incredible run we've had, and the nasdaq is way above its 200 day moving average.

But long term, we claim the stocks on our Top Ten and Top 50 listings are the ones to own! We try to promote our listings as a "starting point" to identify some successful stocks you might want to invest in after doing your own research. But if you want our opinion, we claim a lot of the successful companies on our listings will keep being successful in the future as the internet continues to "take over the world!"

If you could only have one, which would you choose: 1)The Internet or 2)A cure for cancer?

Although it would be nice to have both, if I had to choose one, I would choose a cure for cancer.

Hello ahead,

Checking White Pine Software's latest quarterly earnings report, revenue is up 50% from the year ago quarter. This is well above our screen of revenue growth of 30% or more. They should benefit as more audio and video are added to the internet. It's also been on fire lately, climbing from around 10 a month ago, to about 24 today.

We do not own White Pine Software, and are currently not making any new purchases, because the nasdaq is so far above its 200 day moving average.

When we do decide to buy again, we'll take a look at White Pine Software, along with some of the new IPOs with revenue growth above 100%.
