Banyan (BNYN) owns Switchboard, a competitor to Infospace (about the same size). Banyan's market cap is about $170 million. Infospace's market cap is about $700 million. Banyan plans to spin off Switchboard next year. Banyan is also profitable (albeit only slightly) and has lots of revenues from other products ($50 million a year). Based on this, it would seem that Infospace is ridiculously overvalued. |
