The company's Apollo Two chipsets (87% of sales; a chipset is a group of chips that work together to perform a specific task) are used in PC network interface cards to speed communications along computer networks based on asymmetric digital subscriber line (ADSL) technology. ITeX also designs ADSL modem chipsets for use in PCs and Internet access devices. Its customers include Xpeed (36% of sales), Lite-On Communications (11%), Alcatel, and Nokia. Asian manufacturers account for nearly 55% of sales. Taiwan-based contract manufacturer United Microelectronics makes ITeX's chipsets and owns 20% of the company. Chip giant Intel owns 5%. The company plans to go public soon and hopes to raise $115 million. (source: SEC filing)
