The company develops computer server hardware and related software designed for use by online content, Web hosting, application service providers, and ISPs to reduce online gridlock. Its WebEngine Blazer (three-quarters of sales) can act as a stand-alone unit or be grouped to handle more data. Network Engines has licensing agreements with IBM, Micron Electronics, and VA Linux. Customers include InterVu (46% of sales), IBM (28%), and Microsoft subsidiary WebTV (14%). The company plans to raise $86 million but an IPO date hasn't been set yet. (source: SEC filing) |
