FYI, the IPO will be for about 7% of the company and hopes to raise about $75 million in to pay off $25 million in debt and to expand operations through acquisitions and internally A big risk I see, and that the company mentions in its s-1 filing is that its ten largest clients account for 51 percent of revenues. Agency seems to do good business and it has grown at rates over 100% a year but some of those 10 clients might go elsewhere, and that might hurt their bottom line. Of course, what better remedy for that, than an IPO and some cash to use to expand operations and gain more clients. |

Agency.com offers new media consulting, site design, brand management, and e-commerce services. Customers include Benetton, Compaq, K-Mart, Nike, and Viacom. Advertising firm Omnicom owns nearly half of the company, while co-founders Chan Suh and Kyle Shannon each own about one-fifth. The company recently filed to go public but a date hasn't been set yet.
