quote: Originally posted by Mayor of Investorville: Airspan Networks makes fixed wireless communications systems that let service providers set up voice and data networks more quickly than traditional wireline networks. The systems, based on the CDMA transmission standard, consist of customer-premises antennas and terminals, and base stations that are backhauled into the providers' network. The company also makes network planning, configuration, and management products. Airspan, which outsources the manufacture of its products to Flextronics, sells directly and through manufacturers and resellers; customers in Europe account for 42% of sales. The company plans to raise $65 million but an IPO date hasn't been set yet. (source: SEC filing)
