Ramp Networks sells routers which enable users to connect to the internet through analog modems and phone lines faster than they could through a single analog connection. Customers include small offices, home offices, and remote offices of large companies. Distributors Ingram Micro and Tech Data together account for about half of the company's total sales. Venture capital firm Venrock Associates owns 25% of the company. The company filed to go public in April but the IPO date hasn't been set yet. (source: SEC filing) |
