Formerly operating as The Interactive Connection, the company licenses content from nearly 400 outlets including the Associated Press and Salon.com, and sends it to an array of Web sites seeking real-time, customized content. Customers have included About.com, drkoop.com, and the Microsoft Network. President Alan Ellman founded the company in 1993 and owns nearly 17%. It expects to raise $75 million and go public soon.
