Online technical assistance provider Support.com offers programs that let companies provide remote support and offer personalized assistance on more complex technical issues. Its Healing Agent automated Internet support software, licensed by Bear Stearns (more than half or sales), Compaq, Excite@Home, and other clients, proactively identifies and repairs problems, reducing the need for technical support staffing. Shareholders include Accel Partners and technology company investor Softbank. It expects to raise $63 million and go public soon. (source: SEC filing) |
