SkyStream Networks integrates Internet and broadcast media. The company develops routers that digital television broadcasters and satellite and cable providers use to integrate multimedia-rich online content. The routers let customers such as EchoStar Communications and International Datacasting -- which together account for 50% of sales -- offer live Webcasts, audio and video streaming, distance learning, and other enhanced content. SkyStream is extending its presence in Europe and Asia; it generates about 60% of its sales in the US. It plans to raise $93 million and go public soon, although an official date has not yet been set. (source: SEC filing) |
