Software company Versata enables companies to create and update business-to-business Web applications by defining business rules that minimize the writing of new code. Versata offers training, project management, and customer support services. Support services make up the majority of its revenues. Clients include MCI WorldCom and Harcourt General. Versata has teamed with IBM to integrate its software with Big Blue's WebSphere Application Server. The company plans to raise $75 million and is expected to go public soon, although an official date has not yet been set. (source: SEC filing) |
