Western Multiplex makes point-to-point fixed broadband wireless communications systems. The company's Lynx systems are used by wireless telecom providers to connect base stations and wireline networks, and its Tsunami systems are used to build private internet-based networks. It has also acquired a company that develops point-to-multipoint systems with similar applications. Western Multiplex sells its products directly and through resellers to telecom providers and business customers including AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Motorola, Nextel, and Voicestream. The company plans to raise $115 million but an IPO date hasn't been set yet. (source: SEC filing)
