Beatnik's software integrates audio into the basic code of a Web site so music can be listened to in real-time as opposed to being streamed or downloaded. The company licenses the Beatnik Audio Engine to Web developers and companies such as Nokia and Sun Microsystems. The company plans to raise $64 million but an IPO date hasn't been set yet.
