Consulting company Convergent Group specializes in transforming the conventional paper-based operations of gas and electric utilities and city and state governments into digital, web-based organizations. One-quarter of its sales come from subcontracted data conversions. Convergent helps such entities as Cinergy (18% of sales), Alliant Energy (9%), and the City of Portland, Oregon, integrate customer status, billing information, and demographic statistics with workflow processes.
