A Webster's II dictionary defines the word incubate as "maintaining favorable conditions for growth." If that's the case, then the companies that have been lumped into that category--CMGI, Internet Capital Group, divine interVentures and Idealab!--could use incubation themselves. Could this be the next CMGI or ICGE? I think the company name is silly, but incubators are hot, so it could do well if these guys know what they're doing. |
