Human resources company Exult's web-enabled services include offerings such as employee communications, employee development, organization, payroll, and recruiting. BP Amoco became Exult's first client in 1999. Among the company's investors are General Atlantic Partners (67%); founder, chairman, president, and CEO James Madden (12%); and BP International (a unit of BP Amoco, 10%). It plans to raise $200 million and go public soon, although an official date has not yet been set. (source: SEC filing)
