GlobalCenter Group -- to be represented by a tracking stock -- comprises the Web hosting and related internet infrastructure operations of Global Crossing and its GlobalCenter Inc. subsidiary. The group's services include Web hosting, content caching and delivery, and server access to Global Crossing's internet protocol (IP)-based network. GlobalCenter also sells, installs, and maintains equipment and provides internet consulting services. It operates 10 data centers in the US, the UK, and Australia and plans to open 10 more. Among its more than 500 clients are Yahoo, NBC Internet, and ZDNet. The company plans to raise $100 million but an IPO date hasn't been set yet. (source: SEC filing) |
